Rashmin Sanghvi is a Chartered Accountant and started his practice in 1975. He is Founder Partner of Rashmin Sanghvi & Associates. He is recognised as a visionary and a leading consultant on tax and foreign exchange laws in India.

He is known for his radical and at the same time philosophical views. In his own unique style, he combines technical professional subjects with philosophy to give a different and clear perspective on several legal areas.He had been appointed by the Indian Finance Ministry on the High Powered Committee to study “E-Commerce and taxation”. He pioneered the concept of training not only Chartered Accountants and Advocates, but also Tax Revenue Officials. From the year 1987, he spearheaded a movement with the objective to help 100 tax consultants become experts in International taxation. He was the key promoter of International Tax & Finance (I.T.F.) group at Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society. This group has trained over a thousand practising Chartered Accountants in the subject of International Taxation through a self-learning process.He has made presentations at several conferences organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society, Chamber of Tax Consultants and various other institutions.

He has also given lectures at Income-tax department’s training Institute at Nagpur and UTI Institute of Management–Vashi, New Mumbai on tax treatment for foreign collaborations, e-commerce taxation, international economics, etc. He was a visiting professor at Jamnalal Bajaj and Welingkar Institutes of ManagemenHe is presently active in spearheading a unique group on the study of International Economics under the auspices of Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society.Apart from his professional commitments, Rashmin Sanghvi is involved in social work from the year 1987.
