Akash Taneja Ph.D. is a civil servant and is presently posted as Joint Director General of Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. He earlier worked as Executive Director FICCI Institute of Intellectual Property Development. He founded NIPO -The Indian IPR Foundation which is a voluntary organization for promotion, protection and development of Intellectual Property. He is a visiting faculty member in a number of academic and training institutions of national repute and has been involved in training and sensitizing enforcement agencies, legal professionals, industry executives and students on various aspects of intellectual property rights.
