Dr. Sankar Thappa is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Rajiv Gandhi University (Central University), Rono Hills, Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh.

He has a master's degree in commerce from Dibrugarh University and a master's degree in finance from Pondicherry University. He has also completed Level-5 Certification in Leadership and Management from Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in the UK. He did his PhD from Gauhati University in Financial Reporting. 

Dr. Thappa has twenty-two years of teaching and research experience and supervised three PhD scholars. Dr. Thappa has four books and thirty-five research papers published in leading journals and periodicals of National and International repute to his credit. His teaching areas are Accounting & Finance, and his research areas are Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, Capital Market and Productivity Analysis.
