The second book Murder in Venice is the story of Sankaran, a young Mathematician from Kerala who meets Galileo to explain the contributions of ancient Hindu astronomy. The third book, Narasimha the Lion Man, is about Dharma, an immigrant living in the suburbs of Paris from Mauritius with heavy roots in India.
