Murli Manohar Art of Conveyancing and Pleading by R. Prakash
The new second edition of the work has been thoroughly revised and enlarged. It now incorporates the exhaustive amendments made in the Civil Procedure Code and other Acts and Rules and the numerous judgements of courts on vital points passed by the courts since the previous edition. Some new chapters have been added. A chapter has been added on Consumer Protection Act.
The book now consists of three parts. Part I of the book relates to conveyancing only. In this part, each chapter deals with a particular type of deed or document under a specific enactment. The chapter opens with definitions of important legal terms relevant to the subject matter of the chapter. The definitions are followed by short-notes, which also indicate the procedure in regard to attestation and registration of documents. Thereafter, legal provisions regarding stamping of documents have been stated briefly followed by forms and precedents as in the previous edition. Part II of the book deals with pleadings of various types including writ petitions under Art 226 of the Constitution of India, counter affidavits, rejoinders and miscellaneous applications. Precedents of all these pleadings have been given in Part III of the book to which precedents of complaints under the Consumer Protection Act, replies to complaints and miscellaneous applications under that Act have been added. The index has been suitably revised.
