Anirban is a versatile character with multiple interests like breathing, sleeping, eating, etc. He flirted briefly with singing but decided against pursuing it, in the larger public interest. In the midst of writing books, Anirban periodically deploys his writing expertise in other domains (ex. doing the homework of his two children). An occasional blogger, Anirban has written content for a few blogs (including his own); he also writes on Quora from time to time, depending upon mood disposition & prevailing weather conditions.

His first book ‘Just Kidding…Yours, Destiny’, an unusual, refreshing, and hilarious love story was a runaway success. Anirban’s 2nd book ‘Are You Kiddin’ Me?’, a collection of unique short stories with lots of subtle takeaways and wicked twists, was ranked in the top 10 of the Indian Writing Charts by W.H.Smith and also awarded 'Best Fiction Book' at Konark Litfest 2019. Both books are in the humorous fiction genre & find appeal with a wide range of readers, starting with age 10+ years, right until 70 years.

In 2019, Anirban was awarded ‘Author of the Year’ & ‘Voice of Indian Literature’ at NE8x Litfest.
